If you’ve watched the NFL recently, you’ve probably noticed the fairly large trade between the Rams and the Lions.
Some reports and rumors have suggested that Minnesota might be interested in doing the same, but Viking fans should take those with a grain of salt.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network continued The Pat McAfee show and said something that contradicts those recent rumors (H / T Skor North). Asked about Cousins who will play the 49ers next season, Rapoport said “I don’t feel that at all.”
“I would never say it’s impossible,” Rapoport said. “As you know, this NFL world has taught us that virtually anyone can be changed. The one I would be really surprised by for a few reasons. One, I’m not sure it will benefit the Vikings. And I don’t know that Cousins is an upgrade over Jimmy G. When they’re both healthy and they’re both playing, are we sure Cousins is so great for whatever it costs? ”
Cousin has just finished his third season with the Vikings. It started to be rocky, but it helped the offense become large octane on the stretch. He still garnered a lot of contempt from Viking fans, but with the structuring of his contract, it seems that the team is stuck with him for the foreseeable future.
