Bolivian authorities indicate that the causes of the accident were mechanical failures. Two pilots in practice flight survived.
A Bolivian air force plane crashed in a residential area of Sacaba, Cochabamba, on Wednesday, leaving at least one dead and several injured, according to local media.
Preliminary information indicates that the damaged aircraft is a K-8 Jet and crashed into a house. The deceased is a resident of the home. Another person at the scene was injured.
The impact was captured on video, it shows a column of smoke in the community area. In another video published by RT, the locals are seen trying to help those affected.
As for the occupants of the plane, the authorities reported that two pilots were on board and managed to catapult in time. They were flying.

An explosion was heard after the impact, the witness said. Neighbors in the area approached the place to try to extinguish the flames that consumed the house as a whole.

Colonel Jhonny Corrales, commander of the Cochabamba police department, told the media that the two pilots are stable, one under medical observation in the city of Cochabamba, and the other is being questioned about the incident.
