The coffin with the remains of the 36-year-old woman arrived in El Salvador in a plane in which the victim’s mother, Rosibel Arriaza, and Victoria’s two minor daughters also traveled.

Alfonso Olivares, Victoria’s father, made brief statements to the press a few moments after receiving his daughter’s remains in Sonsonate. Olivares said the family is shocked and trying to process the pain of killing Victoria, who had a visa to live as a migrant in Mexico.
