VIDEO AND PHOTO. Mexican actor who became famous in children’s films has been released from prison after serving a 20-year sentence

He was christened “Thumbelina” in the 1950s, after playing the character in a Class B movie that immortalized him. You would not believe what crimes he was convicted of in 2002.

He served a sentence of 18 years, 4 months and 15 days after being found guilty of various offenses on 30 April 2002. The trial took place in Mérida, Yucatán, and the applicant was none other than his second wife. Cesáreo Quezadas never imagined that he would end up behind bars and, despite the evidence presented by the prosecution, insists that he is innocent.

According to the coverage made by the program “Ventaneando”, the 71-year-old actor recently regained his freedom and when he approached him he said that he feels mixed emotions. Not only did he feel joy while enjoying freedom again, but also uncertainty and anger, because he assured that the crimes he was accused of had never happened.

And boy, the accusations of his ex-wife Claudia are harsh, because the famous child artist from the 50s and 60s was sued for rape, rape and child pornography, to the detriment of five of his six children.

For at least a decade, Quezadas managed to shine in Mexican cinema, until its appearance began to change and job offers stopped coming. Faced with a lack of work, the actor plunged into the world of crime and fell out of grace after committing a robbery in early 1971.

Fearing that he had caused a homicide (which in the end was not), he surrendered to the authorities and confessed to his crime. After this event, he received what would be the last opportunity to work in cinema in 1973, “Nosotros los ugly” by director Ismael Rodríguez.

Then he would make the news again, after being accused by his second wife, with whom he had two children – with the first he had four. The designer and photographer discovers a video in which Quezadas appears sexually abusing one of his three daughters, an audiovisual material that was essential in the lawsuit that ended with imprisonment.

After his release, the Mexican assured that everything was created to incriminate him and that nothing of what was imputed to him is true. The former star of the child paid her sentence at the Merida Rehabilitation Center, according to notes published in various local media.
