Vice President of the Senate of Puerto Rico, satisfied before the Executive Order for gender violence

Puerto Rico Senate Vice President Marially González Huertas said on Sunday she was pleased after Governor Pedro Pierluisi declared a state of emergency for gender-based violence.

“The executive order to declare a state of emergency for gender-based violence in Puerto Rico is an advanced and plausible step in the fight to stop femicide. The Senate will continuously measure its effectiveness, while overseeing the use of public funds in the development of instruments. Congratulations! “González Huertas said in written statements.

Pierluisi issued an executive order today declaring a state of emergency for gender violence.

In addition, the Order provides for the creation of a Committee for the Prevention, Support, Salvation and Education of Gender-Based Violence (PARE).
