Venom Jack’s remains will be on display until Thursday at noon; the incineration process would take up to four days

Until noon on Thursday, the body of Dominican fighter Rafael Antonio Sánchez (Jack Veneno) will be on display, which will then be cremated. This last process would take between three and four days.

The fighter’s daughter, Paola Sánchez, once said that once Jack Veneno’s body was cremated, the ashes would be scattered in the Caribbean Sea, in front of Eugenio María de Hostos Park, the place where the iconic fights in which the athlete participated were organized.

“He demanded that some of the ashes be scattered in the Caribbean Sea, in front of Eugenio María de Hostos. The love of the Dominican people for my father made this process of giving up his physical body much easier, because his essence will remain with us “, said Paola Sánchez.

“Her last days were difficult, but thanks to the living God she was able to feel the love of her family and the love of her people. As a daughter and as a family we are very grateful,” she said.

The World Ball Champion died on Tuesday, at the age of 79, after fighting pancreatic cancer. His death clothed the Dominican nation in mourning.

Jack Veneno was originally from the city of San José de Ocoa.
