Riot Games has revealed a new agent to come ASSESSMENT along with the launch of Episode 2, which will arrive on January 12th. The new character’s name is Yoru and it looks like it could be a major change for the game when he arrives. The character will give players a number of unique skills to use in the game, which should make the game against Yoru a bit difficult! The character can teleport due to his Gatecrash ability, hide from opponents with Dimensional Rift, or use Blindside to throw an unstable dimensional fragment that flashes when connected to a surface.
However, Yoru’s most interesting ability could be Fakeout. Like Yoru, players can create an echo that sounds similar to steps. Like Yoru, players can either send steps forward or set them in place to throw opponents. Sound plays a major role in any FPS title, and this ability will make it much harder for opposing players to know if the sounds they hear are legitimate or part of an elaborate Russian!
A movie trailer for episode 2, with Yoru, can be found in the trailer below.
Riot Games calls Yoru a “Duelist Infiltrator” and his abilities seem to reflect that. It will be interesting to see how ASSESSMENT players go to the new agent and find creative uses for the character’s abilities! Adding any new character to such a game often makes a big difference to the playing field, and part of the fun is seeing how the players work around the challenge.
Launched last year, ASSESSMENT is a team-based tactical FPS. The main game mode includes players in a five to five competition. The game currently offers 13 agents with different abilities to select, and the release of Yoru will increase this number by one. Tuesday’s launch a ASSESSMENT Episode 2 will also see a new combat license available, which will run until March 1st. Players who have missed some of the previous skins in the game can also check out the Run-It-Back package, which will contain some previous offers.
ASSESSMENT is now available on PC. You can check out all of our previous game covers right here.
