BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – On Thursday morning, Vermonters aged 16 and over, with certain high-risk health conditions, can register for the COVID-19 vaccine.
The group was scheduled to start on March 15, but the Scott administration moved it earlier because fewer people in the high-risk group over the age of 55 signed up than expected.
Registration begins Thursday morning at 8:15 p.m. Thursday’s group includes cancer patients, those with COPD, chronic kidney disease, heart disease, sickle cell disease, diabetes, immunocompromised patients, people with severe obesity, pregnant women and people with disabilities such as Down syndrome. Health experts say you do not need a doctor’s note or proof of health to enroll. You will be asked for information about a healthcare provider, but you can still schedule even if you do not have a provider.
