ConcernedApe, the creator Stardew Valley, revealed version 1.5 of the popular sim of agriculture and lifestyle will include a new beach farm setting.
Here is what you can expect from this type of farm, based on the description in the screenshot below:
“Good running and fishing and lots of open space. Sometimes the supply crates are washed ashore. However, sprinklers do not work in sandy soil.”
As detailed, there will be a new “advanced game options” menu to allow you to adjust certain aspects of your experience.
In response tweets to fans, ConcernedApe explained how the farms on the beach would include just “something” of normal soil (not very much) and mentioned how the sprinkler restriction wasn’t “so bad” – further mentioning how which any crop can be planted in the sand and how the grass grows on the sand.
When asked about “Remixed” packages, the creator provided the following answer:
“It’s a random mix of some new packages and also old packages, but sometimes the old ones have variations, for example, they might require different crops or fish. If you choose ‘normal’, then it’s just the classic Stardew Valley package set. “
Here’s what was said about the “Year 1 guaranteed finalizable” option:
“Right now in the Stardew Valley, there is a package that requires red cabbage, which can only be obtained in year 1 by chance at the traveling merchant, which may not happen. Selecting “guaranteed y1 completable” ensures that red cabbage seeds will appear in y1 “
It is not known when exactly the 1.5 update of Stardew Valley will be released, but in November, the developer said that it is on the “home stretch” – which means it should not be too far away.
