Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro copies Apple’s “Space Audio” feature

Samsung is preparing to launch new Galaxy Buds Pro headphones, which will probably debut in January with the new Galaxy S21 smartphones. The new headphones have a feature quite similar to the Space Audio feature available in AirPods Max and AirPods Pro.

Although the headphones won’t be out for a few weeks, we already know what to expect, as Samsung accidentally released them in the Galaxy Wearable app and 9to5Google shared details about the feature set.

The headphones look similar to the original Galaxy Buds and have almost the same set of features, but there’s a new “3D Audio for Videos” feature that is very similar to the Space Audio option that Apple brought to “AirPods Pro” and then to “AirPods Max.”

The audio space is designed to provide a theatrical surround sound listening experience on your iPhone and iPad, using dynamic head tracking features that make it look like the sound is coming from around you.

Samsung’s “3D Audio for Videos” feature describes a similar experience. “Listen to a lively, captivating sound coming from all directions, so you feel like you’re on stage when watching videos,” reads a function switch. “For the best experience, keep your headphones by your phone.”

Galaxy Buds Pro also has an equalizer with multiple presets, customizable touch controls and a Find My Headphones option. A new Voice Detect function listens when a person speaks and lowers the media volume, and there is an ambient sound option for noise cancellation, which allows outside sound as in transparency mode on ‌AirPods Pro‌.

We will see the official unveiling of the Galaxy Buds Pro in January and, although the prices have not been announced yet, they will probably have a price similar to “AirPods Pro”. 9to5Google speculates that it could be priced at about $ 200, $ 50 more expensive than the Galaxy Buds +.
