Dominican universities began training on Wednesday for medical students who will volunteer in the vaccination process against Covid-19
The academies were part of VaccineRD plan and were selected by the Ministry of Public Health.
Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU) conducted the training under the protocol of the Ministry of Public Health and together with this academy were trained students from the Ibero-American University (UNIBE).
The event was counted on behalf of UNPHU with the participation of Dr. William Duke, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Dr. Claudia Scharf, director of the School of Medicine and the Ministry of Public Health with Dr. Eladio Pérez; Doctors Suhaill Romero and Aurora Rodríguez, the latter two acting as instructors.
The conference took place simultaneously at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC), where students from the Pontifical Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) also participated.
Also at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, where students from the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA) participated. On this campus, the conference will run until Thursday, the 25th, for students of Eugenio María de Hostos University (UNIREMHOS), Central Eastern University (UCE) and Dominican O&M University.
The training took place in the Max Henríquez Ureña hall of the university from 9:00 to 16:00. The students were divided into groups of 25.
