The authorities in University of Social and Business Sciences (UCES) they visited on Friday Cuenca Alta Samic Regional Hospital in order to formally present to you the opening project of medical career in the district of Cañuelas.
The presentation of the initiative – which was announced in December 2019, shortly before the pandemic – was the responsibility of the Rector of UCES, Gastón O’Donnell, and the Rector Emeritus of the House, Horacio O’Donnell, accompanied by the mayor Marisa Fassi.
Before the Board of Directors – composed of its chairman, Sergio Alejandre, and counselors Luis Crovetto, Alexia Navarro, José Ingold and Roberto Fernández Meire– Gastón and Horacio O’Donnell provided details on the project that will soon be presented to the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU), and this requires the addition of the health center as a university hospital.
The arrival of the medical career contributes to the consolidation of the university pole in Cañuelas. It is a project that reinforces the importance that the district has today in terms of education, since it is a career that has no academic offerings in the region.
UCES landed in Cañuelas in 2011 with the opening of its first annex. A strengthened its presence in the district in October 2018, when inaugurated the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the new building in San Vicente 1289 esq. Antarctica Argentina. A little later, he added a veterinary hospital to his property on Route 6.
UCES has been teaching medicine at headquarters since the late 1990s. The race was approved by Resolution 2469/98 of the Ministry of Education and ratified by CONEAU resolution 1332/14. Grants valid official and national title. 77% of UCES medical graduates enter the medical residency program and enter the professional field immediately after graduation.
