Although Perry said he ordered it on December 2 and was told it was shipped two days later, he still hadn’t received it.
“Does anyone else have this problem?” he asked on Twitter.
Stacey Abrams, the former Georgia governor candidate, had some advice.
“Hey (Perry), we got you. Requested a vote but didn’t receive it? Vote in person on election day! Tell the person at the check-in table that you want to cancel your ballot and vote in person,” “Abrams wrote on Twitter.
Perry did just that – he took a flight to Georgia to vote. CNN could not confirm where it flew from.
“Hey (Abrams) I flew home because I didn’t get it. I’ll be there early in the morning. Too important to miss. Too important to miss!” He wrote.
At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, civic duty was fulfilled, Perry said in a video posted on Twitter. And he encouraged others to do the same.
“Get out and vote, get out and vote, get out and vote, get out and vote,” he said.
Democrats must win both seats to force a 50-50 Senate and gain control as Vice President-elect Kamala Harris would cast a potential tie-breaking vote. If one of the incumbents retains its seat, the Republicans will remain in control.
