Two teenage boys were shot while in the car in Southwest Miami-Dade

COUNTY MIAMI-DADE, Fla. Police are investigating a shooting in southwest Miami-Dade County.

According to authorities, police in the area of ​​US-1 and Southwest 137th Avenue responded to a Shot Spotter Alert.

Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News showed the wild shooting right on the busy US-1.

In the video, the passenger doors of an SUV open when the first shots are fired. The bullets fall on a white BMW sedan.

There is more shooting, the sedan doors open and the SUV pulls away.

Witnesses on the road were amazed, one of them drove away in a panic and jumped over a curb.

Employees at the nearby Hidalgos Cafe said the driver of that vehicle went to their restaurant to ask for help.

I actually had customers here and a lady came running in and she explained what was going on and called 9-1-1, ”said Daysi Resendiz.

Miami-Dade police said the chaos occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The victims, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

There has been no report yet of the brutal gunmen who opened fire in traffic on a busy street, putting many innocent commuters in danger.

“I was just scared of the people out there,” said Resendiz.
