The fatalities in Santa Rosa de Lima, La Unión, were returning from the beach.
Two people died in a car accident that occurred at kilometer 185 of the Pan American Highway, La Escoba sector, Mogotillo canton, San Alejo, La Unión.
Both victims were transported in a sedan-type vehicle, private license plates P 229653, this vehicle collided head-on with the minibus, private license plate P 914299, in which the driver was injured.
Police reported that the deaths in Santa Rosa de Lima, La Unión, were returning from the beach and were identified as: Marta Estela Castellón de Reyes and Guillermo Enrique Soto.

“The excessive speed of drivers, unaware of the traffic in the area and the lack of expertise we can see is the cause of the frontal accident,” said police chief Ortiz.
The driver of the minibus was transferred to La Unión National Hospital due to the seriousness of the injuries.
Due to this traffic accident, the road remained closed for several hours, a situation that caused the discomfort of drivers, as the artery connects directly between the Pan American Highway and the Military Route.
