Two more Chicago parties have been arrested in the Near North Side area for violating COVID-19

CHICAGO (WLS) – The city of Chicago arrested two other parties for violating COVID-19 restrictions last weekend.

The Department for Business and Consumer Protection said it closed two illegal parties with more than 50 guests early Sunday morning, both on the northern side of the approach.

The first party was arrested by BACP and the COVID-19 task force shortly after midnight at 409 West Huron Street. BACP said about 66 people were earning a commercial space on the fourth floor, which received $ 100 coverage, served alcohol and had a DJ. Participants were not socially distanced and did not wear masks.

The unit was cited for violating COVID-19 regulations and for unlicensed activity and was closed for dangerous and dangerous conditions, BACP said.

Shortly afterwards, investigators responded to another complaint at 107 West Hubbard Street, where they found an illegal event in a residential apartment. Officials said 83 people were at the party, who charged an entrance fee and had a DJ, without wearing masks or social distance.

The tenant was cited for violating COVID-19 regulations and for unlicensed activity and was also cited for dangerous and unsafe conditions.

BACP said it had so far conducted 7,441 COVID-19 investigations and cited 370 companies.
