Twitter said on Sunday that it was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Had been temporarily suspended following “multiple” violations of the platform’s content policy.
In a statement to The Hill, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed that “the referenced account has been temporarily suspended for multiple violations of our civil integrity policy.”
Greene said in a statement Sunday that her suspension was the result of “the monopolistic stranglehold a few Big Tech companies have on US political discourse.”

It was not clear which specific messages led to Greene’s suspension, but Twitter has moved in recent days to ban tens of thousands of accounts related to the QAnon conspiracy from the platform.
“We have made it clear that we will take strong enforcement action against behavior that can lead to offline damage. Given the violent events in Washington, DC and the increased risk of damage, on Friday afternoon we began permanently suspending thousands of accounts primarily dedicated to sharing QAnon content, ”the company said in a blog post.
