ONE Championship debuted on TNT on Wednesday with ONE on TNT I, and the event produced a couple of amazing results.
First, Eddie Alvarez (30-8) was disqualified for illegal kicks to the back of Iuri Lupicas’ head (15-1) just 62 seconds from the fight, then a few minutes later, former UFC champion and great Demetrious Johnson (30) -4-1) was finished for the first time in his career when he was eliminated in the second round by Adriano Moraes (19-3) in the fight for the main title of the event on the indoor stadium in Singapore.

I don’t know about that DQ, those fists didn’t have much on them. The opponent played the system and turned around while Eddie punched. If you turn around while someone is punching you and you get an illegal blow, that blow should be a legal strike!

This is why the knees of downed opponents are vicious and ILLEGAL in MMA in the UFC! If they were in the US, the knee is not allowed and the Mighty Mouse can be lifted in a safer and more protective way.
