The Chicago Bears signed veteran Andy Dalton to a $ 10 million one-year deal with a free agency, but the defender remains a hot topic around the team.
Rumors about Russell Wilson were the strongest and now there is another defender who is ready for the commercial market. After the Carolina Panthers traded for Sam Darnold, this leaves Teddy Bridgewater ripe for making. And, for a lot of people, the easiest assumption was the Bears as a landing point.
Of course, a popular topic of discussion was the possibility of trading from Chicago for Bridgewater, which divided the fans. Some believe that Bridgewater would be an instant upgrade over Dalton or Nick Foles. Others think Bridgewater is a warning story, especially for someone who turned down an offer with bears outside last season because he didn’t want to compete with Mitchell Trubisky.
My only option in trading with Darnold is that it is an additional confirmation that Teddy Bridgewater is not the only answer. I know Foles didn’t go wild, but thank God the Bears didn’t take him.

I will never understand the passion of Bear fans with Teddy Bridgewater.
If a team passes you after ONE SEASON, it means I don’t think you’re very good.
Not only did they move on, but they changed several draft options to find another option to replace it.

In retrospect, I wonder if the Bears should have made a move for Bridgewater instead of Dalton.
That is, in retrospect, a move for almost any other defender would be better.

If the Bears were smart, they would change Dalton and move to Bridgewater immediately. They both have health issues, but Teddy has many more advantages and improves the offense than Dalton based on several factors. Do the trade !!!!!!!!! @ChicagoBears

Not I. I knew that Bridgewater, Foles, Cam, etc. they weren’t the answer last season and I’m here to tell you that Dalton isn’t the answer either. So, don’t get amnesia and start thinking that it can play well for you # Bears next season, because it won’t happen. https://t.co/WBzKh0qqYW

Teddy Bridgewater is better QB than the Denver, Bears or Patriots have on the list there. #NFL

Also, Teddy Bridgewater, before Bears fans celebrate his birthday, is not an answer at all.
He has a below average QB, with a below average arm.

So is Teddy Bridgewater available now? I’ll take the Bears !!
– Joe (@HugeBearsFan) April 5, 2021
I shouldn’t have any hope of the Bears grabbing Bridgewater, right?

Carolina paid $ 45 million to Teddy Bridgewater and now exchanged three picks for a QB that was overtaken by Joe Flacco. I don’t really know what the plan is, but investing so much in QB for mediocrity is Bears-esque.

Foles, Dalton and Darnold…. I’d rather have Bridgewater and Mond on the Bears.

I understand Teddy Bridgewater isn’t good, but the Saints should have tried to keep him or make the Bears overpay for him (bad bear fans please come to QBS is just one thing)
– Tee🪳 (@CantBlockPayne) April 5, 2021
I wish the Bears had signed Teddy Bridgewater in place of Andy Dalton.
– Jack Russell (@JolietJack) April 5, 2021
Does that mean we can add Bridgewater to the Bears QB trials? 🤷🏾♂️

The bears should have at least tried to get Bridgewater, but he would be too smart
– Gen. J (@SaytheNano) April 5, 2021
Teddy Bridgewater to the Bears for a 6
– another man (@MarkusTaffy) April 5, 2021
Remember when Bridgewater didn’t sign with the Bears because he “didn’t want a competition with Trubisky”
