For the last few recent events, Apple has used hashflags, which are small icons next to hashtags on Twitter, as a way to market its events. The company first started the tradition with “#AppleEvent” during the September iPad Air and Apple Watch event and has maintained it ever since.

For its upcoming April 20 event, the hashflag mimics the event’s colorful logo used on Apple invitations and other promotional materials for next week’s event.
