Coach Tigres left with crutches to lead his team against Toluca, due to a hip discomfort that will cost him to go through the operating room
NUEVO LEÓN – Ricardo Ferretti reported that the next time FIFA will undergo hip surgery, after a situation that he postponed and now has determined him to go out with crutches on the University stadium to direct the match between Tigres and Toluca.
“I should have had hip surgery, I already had the operation on the left side and a year ago I had to do it on the right side, due to the pandemic it was not possible and in this period of time nine or 10 months passed.
“The situation was getting worse and worse, and the wear and tear of the cartilage, the bone situation, today makes me have to wait for the FIFA date to solve the operation on the right side,” he said.
Coach Ricardo Ferretti came out with the crutches on the bench at the university stadium to direct the Tigres match against Toluca.
At the start of the meeting on the ninth day of the Guard1anes 2021 Clausura Tournament, Ferretti was praised on the crutches and the club only reported that it was due to an upset, although he did not specify more about it.
The helmsman came to the bench, put the crutches next to him and from there it was noticed that he was leading the match, in which the cats are looking for another victory in this competition.
To get to the technical area, he even moved in the vehicle that is used to take the players off the field when they are injured.
It should be remembered that in 2013, the Brazilian coach underwent hip surgery, but so far no other injuries have been reported for the 67-year-old coach.
After a few minutes of play, “Tuca” got up to give instructions without the help of the crutches he reached on the field.
