Tsunami warning in New Zealand, shaken by three earthquakes

Wellington, New Zealand.

An alert of tsunami was declared on Friday after a strong 7.8 magnitude earthquake in the remote islands of Kermadec andn New Zealand, in the Pacific, authorities said, ordering the evacuation of the northeastern coasts of the country.

The quake, which occurred after 7.4 and 6.9 earthquakes in the same region, occurred at 8:28 am (7:28 pm Friday GMT) 1,033 kilometers off the coast of New Zealand, according to the Geological Survey of US

Alert Center for the Pacific tsunamiindicated that waves are possible andn New Zealand, Tonga, Niue, American Samoa, Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tokelau and Wallis and Fortuna.
