Olivo argued that the Electoral Code gives 24 hours after the registration of a form to file an appeal for annulment and that, if the 24 hours have already passed, he has no reason to be and could be seen as a propaganda issue.

In this regard, Magistrate Guillermo Wellman said that he does not know about this resource, “as an electoral judge I still do not know about that situation, I know that the media said he will file an appeal, but as a colleague I still do not know, I’m not sure if something was presented or not.

Judge Wellman also reminded that, in any case, if there are candidacies for municipal councils, they should have been submitted to the Departmental Electoral Council (JED).

For her part, the presiding magistrate, Dora Esmeralda Barahona, mentioned that the law clarifies the time when an appeal must be filed to cancel a candidacy and denied that she knows, “my person has not yet had the opportunity to see the brief and what is the request, the request will be analyzed and will be solved according to the corresponding law in the Collegiate Body ”.
