Trump has been indicted by the House for inciting the mob that attacked the Chapter on January 6th.
His lawyers supported his remarks before the election, being protected by the First Amendment and that it is not possible to convict a former president who cannot be removed from office.
Democrat prosecutors have argued that a former president may be convicted and that this would lead to a vote to prevent Trump from running for office.
