Trump supporters, other passengers, shouted on the plane

President Donald Trump’s supporters clashed angrily with other passengers on a Washington-linked American Airlines plane after projecting a “Trump 2020” logo on the ceiling and walls of the cockpit.

Trump supporters said a passenger threatened to kill them and shouted back and forth. A flight attendant intervened, telling a passenger in the aisle to sit down.

The incident occurred Tuesday night after American flight 1291 from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport landed at Dulles International Airport outside Washington, DC and was traveling to the gate.

The scene was posted on Twitter by Maranie Staab, a freelance journalist from Portland, Oregon, who says on her website that she focuses on human rights and social justice issues.

“Our team is reviewing this incident,” said American Airlines spokesman Curtis Blessing. “We applaud our outstanding crew members for their professionalism in reducing a tense situation on board and bringing our customers to their destination safely.”

The American said that the police were not called and that the passengers disembarked and dispersed without further incident.
