Toyota introduces the all-electric SUV Economy

In the week in which World Earth Day, Toyota introduced the concept model of SUV, the bZ4X BEV.

With the launch of this model, a completely electric concept that emits zero emissions, Toyota strengthens its commitment to the environment and carbon neutrality by 2050.

“The Toyota bZ4X BEV concept points to yet another option in our already heavily electrified portfolio,” said Bob Carter, executive vice president of sales for Toyota Motor North America.

He added that “At Toyota, we are a human-centered company: the customer is our CEO and will ultimately decide which technologies will lead us to a carbon-neutral future. With investments and product offerings across the entire electrification spectrum, we intend to be there with products and technologies that meet the diverse needs of customers around the world. ”

The bZ4X concept is the first in a global series of battery-powered electric vehicles to be introduced under the umbrella of the “Toyota bZ” brand, which means “beyond zero”.

The model includes a new AWD (‘all-wheel drive’) system which, in addition to being electric, is charged by the sun’s rays.

Physically it has a design with robust and sharp lines, abandoning the traditional front grille and instead has a series of sensors, lights and aerodynamic elements.

The model joins a complete line of electrified vehicles that account for more than 40% of all hybrid vehicles sold in the United States.

Toyota plans to expand to about 70 electrified models worldwide by 2025. In addition, it plans to bring electrification to its takeover line in the near future.
