A group of tourists disappeared in the roller coaster near the famous place where nine students died in mysterious circumstances more than six decades ago.
The eight hikers from Moscow did not return on Wednesday after heading to the Dyatlov Pass in the Ural region, Newsweek reported, quoting the Russian press.

Tourists traveled to the area to pay tribute to the victims who died there in February 1959, the resident told the outlet.
Russia had blamed the mysterious deaths of the nine students on an avalanche and low visibility.
But their terrible wounds, which included fractures of the skull and broken ribs, led to conspiracy theories that ranged from an animal attack to an alien attack.
In 2019, Russia reopened the investigation in an attempt to put an end to speculation.
Andrey Kuryakov, deputy head of the regional prosecutor’s office, said the latest investigation confirmed that the group had been hit by an avalanche, then froze to death.
