Tourist suffers from fall from ‘scooter’ while riding AMA track

A Florida tourist fell off a ‘scooter’ while driving on the Metropolitan Bus Authority (AMA) bus lane on Ponce de León Avenue, intersection with Hoare Street, in Santurce.

According to preliminary information, the complainant, identified as Marivette Sicardó, was riding a ‘scooter’ when she lost control and fell on the sidewalk. She suffered cuts to her knee and left arm.

A paramedic arrived and took the injured woman to the doctor’s hospital in Santurce. His condition is stable.

This incident was investigated by Officer Moisés Díaz, of the San Juan Municipal Police.
