Tourist office fined hotel 4 million RD for non-compliance with sanitary protocols

The tourism cabinet announced on Friday that it had fined the Palladium Hotel in the tourist area of ​​Bávaro, La Altagracia province, with the amount of 4 million pesos, after non-compliance with the sanitary regulations of December 31st.

According to the statement, the hotel violated the regulations of the Cabinet, in particular with the resolution DJ 05/2020, which prohibits these units from holding parties until Sunday, January 10th.

Similarly, the above document stated that if Palladium has this error again, will suspend the operating license, although it has not been specified how long this sanction will last or whether it will be final.

“It is our duty to ensure at all times the faithful observance of the health measures defined in the country and to act accordingly”, reads part of the message.

The Tourist Office also indicated that the directors of the aforementioned hotel promised to take better measures in this regard.

Likewise, the Ministry of Tourism wrote on the social network Twitter that “compliance with health protocols is not negotiable.”
