Tori Spelling posted an emotional tribute to her first love on screen, Dustin Diamond, after she died of stage 4 cancer on Monday.
Actress “Beverly Hills, 90210” starred opposite Diamond in “Saved by the Bell” in 1990 as Screech’s girlfriend, Violet Bickerstaff.
“My first love on screen, Dustin Diamond, took his angel wings today,” Spelling, 47, began a long legend with a photo of the couple in the series. “Before David and Donna were there, they were Screech and Violet. Dustin was my first on-screen kiss. ”
“She greeted me with open arms on the set of” Saved by the Bell, “she continued. “As we can imagine, being a beginner in a successful show was overwhelming for a 14-year-old girl.
“Not only did he show me around, but he made sure I was always okay. Such a young gentleman. He was kind, smart, and always made everyone laugh. ”
She added that Diamond was an excellent stage partner and a very good guy, but the couple did not really keep in touch, meeting occasionally at events.
“I’m glad he’s not in pain,” she concluded. “He is an icon for me professionally and personally. RIP Samuel love, your Violet. ”
Diamond died at the age of 44, just weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.
