Intrigued by how much the players love it Final Fantasy XIV but not sure how to get started? The open beta of the game for PlayStation 5 starts tomorrow, promising clearer graphics, faster frame rates and shorter load times than the PlayStation 4 version. a generous free trial makes this week a good time to join the popular MMO.

PS5 version of Final Fantasy XIV pulls me back to try the game in a new way. For years I avoided the console version of Square Enix’s online RPG game. First of all, I’m worried about juggling skills and abilities using a game controller instead of my trusted keyboard. And secondly, the console versions of MMORPG games for PC have always been muddy and slow. Conformable today’s post on the PlayStation blog about the beta version of the PS5however, this new version will run at 1440p at 60 frames per second, which sounds nice and fast. I’m also a fan of the super-fast load times that Square Enix has shown and I’m intrigued by the use of DualSense controller haptic feedback for mounting steps and collection actions. Who knows, maybe it’s time to stop making fun of my consoles that play Free Company companions and take care of the gamepad?

Existing PS4 players will have free beta access, as will new players who sign up for the free trial version of the game, which gives them access to the full game plus heaven expansion, allowing them to level from 1 to 60 unhindered. In the past, you will need to purchase a copy of the game, but your progress in the test will be waiting for you if you do.
