Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson will receive the vaccine “long after all those who really need it”

Tom Hanks expressed plans with his wife Rita Wilson to be vaccinated for COVID-19 at the right time in Monday’s Today.

“We will get a long time after everyone who really needs to get it,” said the 64-year-old Oscar winner, more than nine months after he and Wilson announced that they both gave positive results in March.

Star Forrest Gump said that when he is vaccinated, he will do it publicly to encourage others, they also voted for former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

He pointed out that a critical aspect of his fight with the virus was that he and Wilson shut themselves in to stifle the spread.

“I think it was much more important, because the second half of the COVID-19 formula was that I didn’t give it to anyone,” Hanks said. “By closing, we would wear masks and still do it, not just to not catch it, but not to give it to anyone.”

Saving Private star Ryan said he and Wilson endured “a few hard days” in the initial battle with the virus and have since donated blood to help researchers after discovering antibodies in their systems.

Hanks revealed his and Wilson’s health on March 11, the same day NBA star Rudy Goebert tested positive for the virus, shutting down the NBA for months.
