“Like it or not, it’s not up to me if another sword fighter comes into play”
If you count both variants (a to Sheik and Zelda), Smash Ultimate I just got Two more sword users with the addition of Pyra and Mythra.
It follows a few other sword users from both Passers Fighters, including the latest addition to Sephiroth. So what does it give? Well, the father of the series Masahiro Sakurai says you can’t blame him!
Talking to Washa Live (via Nintendo Everything) this week, Sakurai had a few short things to say Smash UltimateDLC options, but they also had their hands tied a little bit of how much they could craft. When asked why there are so many sword fighters (a question he often gets), Sakurai explains, amid laughter, “Like it or not, it’s not up to me if another sword fighter comes into play.”
When pressed again, saying that the players’ base moans many times when another sword user is announced, Sakurai watches, noting, “Well, even if he’s another sword fighter, it’ll be fine as long as we balance them correctly. ”. He also claims that sword fighters are “easy to implement”, especially compared to insanely complicated characters like Steve.
But outside of that quick summary, Sakurai says he can’t really expand beyond that, and that if he “goes a little further, [he] will receive something from Nintendo. “Ugly, it seems! Sakurai is very careful in what he says in such situations, but he has stated several times that he is not responsible for who is chosen.
