Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth break up, the engagement ends

Tinsley Mortimer’s walk down the aisle was shortened.

The former star of “The Real Housewives of New York”, 45 and the founder of CouponCabin, Scott Kluth, have ended their engagement, People reported on Thursday.

Kluth, 40, told the publication in a statement: “After 14 months of engagement, Tinsley and I have ended our relationship and we have been living independently for the past few months. This was an incredibly difficult decision, but I think it is the best for both of us. I will always care about Tinsley and I sincerely wish him happiness and success in everything he does in the future. ”

“Although I understand that this news will be of interest to many, I ask for intimacy and understanding during this time, while I continue to work on the emotional recovery from the end of our relationship,” he concluded.

A source told the publication that Mortimer was “blinded” and “devastated” by the breakup.

Kluth and Mortimer met at “The Real Housewives of New York” after Carole Radziwill introduced them to a blind meeting. They met and went out until Kluth finally launched the question in November 2019 with an elaborate Christmas themed proposal.

Mortimer left the Bravo series and moved to Chicago to join Kluth after accepting his proposal. His initial plans for their wedding were derailed by the coronavirus pandemic.

“RHONY” fans will remember that Mortimer has been planning his wedding for some time. Her mother, Dabney Mercer, took her shopping for a wedding dress while she was at the show, which led to a scene of the couple crying over Mortimer’s frozen eggs while Mortimer tried on a dress.

Mortimer was previously married to Topper Mortimer.
