Tim Robbins allegedly filed for divorce from his wife Gratiela Brâncuși, which is surprising, because no one knew that the couple is married.
Whispers started a relationship between the 62-year-old actor and Brâncuși in 2018. Although neither of them confirmed their relationship, the couple was spotted on several red carpets together. They also spent quality time with Robbins’ adult children, whom he shares with former Susan Sarandon.
According to TMZ, the “Shawshank Redemption” star filed for divorce on Wednesday in Los Angeles. It is not clear when they got married and the future exes have no children.
Robbins and fellow actor Sarandon, 74, although they never married, maintained a long-term relationship after meeting on the set of “Bull Durham” in 1988. The couple broke up in 2009 and share sons Miles, 28 and Jack, 31.
A representative for Robbin did not immediately return our request for comment.
