Tigres from UANL changes his shield for Clausura 2021 from Liga MX

Tigrii UANL will “release” the shield for him M21 League Closing Tournament 2021 which starts on January 8th, as the Monterrey team would have made a “small” adjustment to the official logo by removing the seven stars from the championships obtained throughout its history.

According to the report of the journalist from Multimedios Deportes; Willy González, the Tigers have already announced Liga MX changing his shield for the next tournament, following in the footsteps of Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara, a team that did the same in the past Apertura 2020.

The same source said that this change is due to the fact that the Tigers are trying to follow the image concepts of “Great Mexican Football”, recalling that neither Pumas nor Club America make any presumption of the titles obtained through these stars.

Of the 18 teams in the MX League, the only clubs that maintain this tradition are Cruz Azul, Santos, León, Monterrey, Pachuca, Necaxa and Xolos.

Teams like América, Atlas, Pumas, Puebla, Toluca and Chivas have removed these “motives” from their shields.

Clubs that do not have stars but do not have league championships are San Luis, FC Juárez, Querétaro, Mazatlán FC.
