Joe Biden’s inauguration as president of the United States took place on Wednesday, January 20th. Many celebrities greeted the president and celebrated Donald Trump’s departure with an opening concert that included artists such as Katy Perry, Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters.
The event was presented by Tom Hanks and took place in the Capitol (Washington, USA), a few days after the assault of the building by Trump supporters, Bruce Springsteen was tasked with opening the concert singing Land of Hope and Dreams and The Rising. “I’m proud to be here,” he said.
He was followed by Bon Jovi, who covered the Beatles and performed the legendary song Here Comes the Sun.
For his part, John Legend, who had already publicly supported the president, sang Feeling Good.
Foo Fighters sang Times Like These and Dave Grohl took the opportunity to send a message to the teachers, as both his mother and first lady, Jill Biden, are teachers. “They enlighten the children of our nation every day,” he said.
But, without a doubt, the most spectacular moment of the night came from the hand of Katy Perry, who had not announced her appearance at the event. He made fireworks and, surprisingly, his performance was accompanied by the launch of fireworks.
Demi Lovato chose the song Lovely Days for the occasion. The singer wanted to pay tribute to the medical staff and included in her show videos with workers singing excerpts from the theme.

Renowned country singer Garth Brooks performed Amazing Grace on the steps of the Chapter after Biden’s inaugural speech.
