Normal in any way

A small step beyond illusion
Agatha reveals that Wanda’s children were born out of her desire to have a normal home, making manifestations of Wanda’s will through a combination of magic and her mutant powers. Because Vision is a sophisticated car, explains Agatha, Wanda used her powers to change the probability to make it possible for the couple to start a family – but even Wanda’s immense powers can’t create life (West Coast Avengers # 52).

The Avengers confront Master Pandemonium, who kidnapped Wanda and Vision’s children to replace the missing pieces of his soul – only to discover that Thomas and William are pieces of Mephisto’s soul believed once destroyed by Franklin Richards (The fantastic four # 277). When the demon reabsorbs his missing pieces, restoring his essence at the cost of losing her children by Wanda, Agatha defeats Mephisto by erasing the twins from Wanda’s memory.

As if it had never been
Agatha explains: “Wanda wanted her whole life after the kind of normal existence denied forever by her mutant powers. She wanted a family so much – in her mind the perfect symbol of a peaceful and happy life – that she suffered what would having a human woman was a hysterical or imaginary pregnancy. In such cases, usually no child is born … but Wanda’s power to change the odds created Thomas and William. The twins, you see, to double her dream. Because her power cannot create real life, she stretched unconsciously to catch anything that would function as souls for newborns. What caught, still much weakened by their recent separation, was two of Mephisto’s missing pieces. ! ”

To relieve Wanda of the pain of losing her children, Agatha closes that corner of her mind – making it so that the twins “never were” for Wanda (West Coast Avengers # 52).

Revelations
Immortus transports the Avengers to Limbo, where he pits the most powerful heroes on Earth against the “zombified” enemies that make up the Legion of Life to prevent them from interfering in affairs that are “vital to the current state of many realities – including this “(West Coast Avengers # 61).

Agatha, half-felt, Immortus is behind Wanda’s misfortunes – her increased powers, her growing alienation from humanity and her non-existent children – and she is aware that Earth’s plans are in danger of falling apart.
Immortus reveals that an all-powerful trio called The Time Keepers – who could enter the MCU Loki – appointed him custodian of the flow of time for the period in which he lived as Kang: from 3000 BC. until 4000 AD. The final fate of the scarlet witch
Finally, Immortus reveals that he has been manipulating Wanda’s life for years, because the Scarlet Witch is a Nexus being, one who belongs equally to all possible chronologies and all realities and divergences. Through Wanda’s power, all futures can be protected and controlled by Immortus, the self-proclaimed master of time.

Immortus explains that his orchestration of Wanda’s tragedies and the resulting trauma would make her likely to become his strong and indispensable puppet (West Coast Avengers # 61 and # 62).

Condemnation of the Multiverse
The astral form of Agatha tries to reach the fascinated Wanda, who is transformed into a source of living energy for Immortus. Urging her to get rid of the excessive power increased in her by Immortus, Agatha desperately tells Wanda that it will be useless for him without the ability to change the probabilities of the cosmic chronology. When Wanda’s love for her teammates takes her away from her trance, Immortus curses Agatha for creating new divergences that she says will “wreak havoc on the countless realities that already exist” – potentially condemning the entire Multiverse.

As Wanda tries to draw that power into herself, thus preventing a cosmic calamity, the Time Keepers interfere and prevent her from reabsorbing those powers (West Coast Avengers # 62).

The future danger
The keepers of time tell Immortus that his only duty was to eventually transmute a certain Nexus creature – the Scarlet Witch – into a source of power. They explain: Immortus would then use that power over probabilities to protect key events that must appear in different timelines to ensure a certain future, including one in which Time Keepers have a personal interest (West Coast Avengers # 62).

The trio reveals that Immortus could only use a pre-existing Nexus being, not create one. When Wanda managed to repel her hexagonal power, they were forced to intervene. “If that power were allowed to wreak havoc among chronologists,” they warn, “all futures would be in jeopardy – including the one in which we ourselves were created!”

Good morning
When Immortus reveals that the Time Keepers have never told him exactly what future he is protecting, they tell the Avengers their altruistic actions for the “greater good of the cosmos.”

“If we ceased to exist due to affected timelines, the loss to the Multiverse would be profound,” says Time Keepers, which sends the mutant energy expelled by Scarlet Witch into Immortus. It condemns him to a steadfast existence in language, transformed into the same all-powerful energy receptacle that Wanda intended to make, and Wanda returns to the Avengers (West Coast Avengers # 62).
