According to projections based on information from the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, EST, with percentages between 89.6 and 96.8 of the accounting sheets, these candidates obtained a seat in the Legislative Assembly for the period 2021-2024.
In this way, the results favor the ruling party New Ideas (NI), which would reach a qualified majority in the new Legislative Assembly.
With a qualified majority (56 seats), the ruling party will be able to undertake reforms to the Constitution of the Republic.
It may also hold second-level elections, such as the Attorney General of the Republic, Magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Attorney General of the Republic or the Prosecutor for the Protection of Human Rights, in addition to approving the General Budget of the nation.
