This fake 2021 sketch causes Bears to trade again in round 1 for a QB

Athletic on Tuesday released a new fake NFL draft in 2021 and offered a unique twist on what the Chicago Bears could do in the first round of the April draft.

In 20th place overall, Bears defeated writer Adam Jahns in Chicago, choosing Christian Darrisaw, Virginia Tech’s offensive striker, who would qualify as a major theft on my board. Currently, Darrisaw has ranked a top 10 player, so his landing with the 20th pick is an extremely good value in a much-needed position for the Bears heading into 2021.

Taking a quarterback was definitely a consideration, but a $ 10 million investment was made in Andy Dalton as well. He is the Bears’ full-back for 2021, or so he was told during his recruitment into the free agency. Either way, it’s best not to force the choice, even though the Bears have a history of doing so. This is a great year for offensive approaches, and the bears need to be sure they get one. Cornerback is on the table after Kyle Fuller leaves, but the Bears clearly change their resources from defense to offense. Selecting Darrisaw is part of this process. Charles Leno Jr. and Germain Ifedi become substitutes for the attack until Darrisaw is ready.

The most interesting aspect of this fake project is what the Bears are doing next. According to Jahns, Chicago could return in the first round – in this case to pick number 30 – for Alabama quarterback Mac Jones if he experiences a sketch slide, as this projection indicates.

The Bears could be patient and let their QB search in the draft go into the second round. Jones and Texas A & M’s Kellen Mond may be available. Then, again, the wait until choice no. 52 could take a long time. GM Ryan Pace doesn’t like to do that. Ironically, this transaction is made with the team that just signed Mitch Trubisky to back it up. But that doesn’t matter. Invoices can have Trubisky. The bears started the 2021 season and more. Jones deserves the swing late in the first round. Dalton also said he would be fine with mentoring. By designing Jones, Pace and coach Matt Nagy can extend their stay in Chicago as well. Young defenders always change situations and expectations.

While it would be a dream scenario for the Bears to bring out a left-back and a quality quarterback in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, it simply won’t happen. Jones is very unlikely to slip past the Patriots at number 15 overall and there have been numerous reports suggesting that the 49ers are very interested in Jones at number 12.

It does not reach the 30th place.

However, false sketches are used for this; creating scenarios that we might not think otherwise. The Bears may not return to Round 1 for Jones because he will be long gone, but that doesn’t mean they won’t appreciate another defender long enough to try to jump a few teams to the top of Round 2 of their type.

The next level of quarterback prospects is led by Kyle Trask of Florida and Davis Mills of Stanford. Neither of them has a score in the first round, but both could be in play in the middle of Day 2. There is a good chance that both will be on the board when the Bears pick in the second round, making a uniform change less likely. .

But remember: This is GM Ryan Pace we’re talking about. When it comes to defenders, anything is possible.
