This Cyberpunk 2077 mode can give you an extra 30FPS on your PC

Even if you have some of the best hardware you can buy, Cyberpunk 2077 is beyond being the new Crysis in terms of computer hardware requirements. Hell, the game is so new-generation that it practically melted the PS4 and Xbox One consoles until Cyberpunk 2077 was pulled from these platforms.

But what if you want more performance without doing much? This is exactly what the CodeZ1LLa programmer has done with its new EZ Optimizer for Cyberpunk 2077 which will offer up to 30FPS more in-game performance.

How does it work? EZ Optimizer changes the hidden settings of developers that are not normally available to you and is very easy, because you can move it to the root folder of the Cyberpunk 2077 installation. From there, you will have 4 options to choose from:

  • Max Boost: Provides the best image fidelity and substantially increased performance. This option is highly recommended for GeForce GTX 1060 and later.
  • Balanced: Provides a sensitive balance between image quality and performance. Owners of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti up to the GeForce RTX 20 (Turing) series should use this option before attempting the Max Boost preset.
  • Default mode: Resets the settings back to the default game configuration.
  • Disable Async calculation: This option helps increase performance for GeForce GTX SKUs and is not recommended for new NVIDIA RTX models.

When using EZ Optimizer for Cyberpunk 2077, the performance of the new CodeZ1LLa software pushed the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti from an average of 42-51FPS with the default settings. When you run balanced mode, the performance increased from 54FPS to 71FPS, while Max Boost mode pushed the performance from 51FPS to much higher 80FPS.

Performance will obviously vary from GPU to GPU and CPU to CPU, to an entire system depending on the SSD, etc. But the performance seems to be damn good with the new EZ Optimizer for Cyberpunk 2077, I think I’ll have to try it and maybe run some of the 8K benchmarks again and finish the 1080p / 1440p / 4K benchmarks.
