Third-party AirTags accessories continue to appear ahead of Apple’s April 20 event

In January, we saw some promotional images for third-party AirTags accessories from both Nomad and Spill’s Cyrill, and while Apple article trackers have not yet been released, we now see more signs of similar accessories that are beginning to appear in the wild.

An increasing number of sellers on eBay, Walmart, Etsy and other online markets are now offering TAirTags‌ holders for sale as the details of the device continue to spread.

MacRumors also received a pair of images of a particularly interesting set of straps that our source says are made of a material similar to the one that fluoroelastomer Apple uses for its Apple Watch Sport bands. The belt design appears to have a quick closure to secure the AirTag and a short leash with an opening at the opposite end to allow the strap to be attached to an object to be tracked.

An image of a very similar but not identical design was shared today on Weibo by leaker UnclePan (by DuanRui). This design seems to be based on the elasticity of the strap, rather than on a fastener to hold the AirTag in place.

The growing number of third-party third-party accessories is coming just before tomorrow’s Apple Spring Loaded event, although it is not yet known if the accessory will appear at the event. The first indications of irAirTags‌ appeared in the code leaked two years ago and have not yet been officially revealed, but information about them is clearly circulating among accessory manufacturers.

Apple’s infrastructure to support irAirTags‌ is already in place, as the company launched its Find My network accessories program earlier this month, which allows third-party devices such as Belkin headphones, Chipolo tracking devices and VanMoof electric bikes to be tracked. right in the Find My app.

‌AirTags‌ will work in exactly the same way, except for the Ultra Wideband U1 chip holder which would allow greater accuracy than standard Bluetooth and even an augmented reality experience to help you navigate directly to a lost object.
