Thierry Henry, The former Arsenal footballer announced on Friday that all his social networks will be deleted due to the racism and toxicity that exist on these platforms.
The Frenchman, who has more than 2 million followers on Twitter, pointed out that the problem with networks and people who insult them are too “toxic” to be ignored.
Henry has assured that he will not return until those who control these platforms impose such severe measures on insults and racism as those who violate copyright rules.
In recent months, cases of athletes denouncing racist insults through networks have multiplied, complaining about the impunity of these anonymous people hiding behind the internet, which has led British institutions to issue a statement calling for more measures for Instagram and Facebook.
“It’s too easy to create an account to insult people without consequences and to remain anonymous. “ Henry said in a statement.
