The Public Ministry reported on Sunday that it is expanding the investigations into the animal abuse in which Arturo Nanita suffered at the expense of his pet, a French bulldog named Truffle.
The Department of Animal Protection of the Public Ministry is working on collecting evidence and investigating the case to direct the aggressor to the National Prosecutor’s Office of the District, where the request for a coercive measure must be known.
Investigations against Arturo Nanita began after on Saturday, a video went viral on social networks in which the attacker is shown kicking the dog, in a residence in the Bella Vista sector, the national district.
The animal was rescued by the operations coordinator of the Department of Animal Welfare, Marilyn Lois, and is in the custody of a collaborator of the justice system, who provides the necessary protection and care.
The Public Ministry has questioned several neighbors who confirm information showing that the aggressor frequently behaves violently.
For her part, Lois warned all citizens about the obligation to care for animals and provide them with proper protection, after reminding that abuse is a crime in the country.
