They honor health workers who have died from COVID-19

To the sound of the song “Borikén” performed by the Puerto Rican composer Hermes CroattoToday, Tuesday, the College of Medical Surgeons paid an emotional tribute to the health workers who died from COVID-19 in Puerto Rico.

Together with the designated Minister of Health, Carlos Mellado, the president of the college, Victor Ramos, explained that the tribute was made in connection with the event that President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, held this afternoon to the victims of this virus that has claimed more than 400,000 deaths in that country to date.

“We lit the building with ‘amber’, the color the president chose for the COVID monument,” said Ramos before Croatto’s presentation began.

The least we can do is pay him this tribute and say we will continue to work and fight so that this tribute doesn’t become people dying anymorehe said during his speech at the tribute.
