The fourth investigating judge of the national district set up tomorrow at 10 a.m. the hearing on the settlement of the insurrectionary case and the hearing on the restraint against Argenis Contreras, the protagonist involved in the murder of the professor of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Yuniol Ramírez.
The information was provided by Contreras’s lawyer, Plutarco Jáquez.
The hearing will be chaired by Kenya Romero, examining magistrate of the National District’s fourth investigating judge. It will take place in the courtroom of the eighth criminal court, located in the Palace of Justice of the National District.
Mirna Ortíz, magistrate and representative of the PGR explained that allegations of murder, association of criminals, concealment of the body and administrative corruption against Argenis weigh against Argenis and that her case is being sent to a merit trial.
Ortiz added that as early as the merits hearing, the file will work with the others involved in the murder.
They rely on the prosecution
Yuniol Ramírez’s relatives have indicated today that they are confident that the Attorney General’s Office will do a good job against the protagonist involved in the crime against his relative.
It is clear that that mistrust (shown before the previous administration) no longer exists, we have met the attorney Miriam Germán, we have filed requests and are looking, and at Argenis. We continue with the same spirit, which will change as everyone involved fall, ”added Ramón Ramírez, Yuniol’s brother.
He added that both the former prosecutor Jean Alain Rodríguez and the former prosecutors, Olga Dina Rodríguez and Rosalba Ramos can be classified as accomplices, as they never asked for Argenis to be extradited.
