They confiscated over 500 kilograms of shell, arsenal and ten packages of money

San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Agents of the specialized units of the National Police yesterday confiscated 23 bales of cocaine and an arsenal in a raid on two houses in La Parma village of Sonaguera, Columbus.

The action was carried out jointly by agents of the National Anti-Drug Police Directorate, National Directorate of Border Police Services and the National Directorate of the Special Forces.

Authorities reported that in the search of the buildings, they found the narcotic cache, 20 short and long range firearms, 10 packets of money, 12 magazines for various weapons, three bags of ammunition and a pickup truck.

It was reported that among the confiscated weapons there are seven rifles and 13 pistols. The money in the ten packages is mostly dollars. As indicated, there are over 500 kilograms of cocaine in the bales.

Drugs, money and weapons were hidden in the caches they made inside the two houses. Everything that was confiscated was transferred to Tegucigalpa where cocaine and money will be counted.

Police investigations establish that the drugs, money and weapons confiscated come from a criminal structure linked to South America, Central America, Mexico and the United States.

In another operation on the highway from San Pedro Sula to La Entrada, Copán, in the place known as Las Bodegas, members of the National Directorate of Anti-Drug Police required a gray takeover. It was reported that when they searched the car, they found a hidden compartment next to the fuel tank where they found 28 kilograms of cocaine.

The driver of the car that was identified as Óscar Murcia was arrested.

The investigating agents packed up the collected evidence and then sent it to the forensic toxicology laboratory for analysis and opinion.
The captured man was placed under the order of the Prosecutor’s Office authorities.
