The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) and the Navy of the Republic reported that they confiscated 232 packages of cocaine, near the beach of Barbacoa beach, Miches municipality, El Seibo province.

Authorities said that through an operation near the coastline of the beach, they initiated a chase against several people, who managed to evade the fence and enter a wooded area in the area.

Subsequently, they pointed out that, through a search in the whole area, they found seven nylon bags, where 232 packages were occupied, which after being analyzed by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences, established that the substance was cocaine and that they a weight of 240.08 kilograms.

Beyond the confiscated drugs, the authorities failed to capture the men involved in the case.

They added that several jugs full of fuel were found in the place where the drug was confiscated.
