The agents, attached to the Calle Loíza section, were warned yesterday, Tuesday, at 20:30, by phone call at the checkpoint, about two women, who were intoxicated, and in the company of a minor, who requested attention, in Loíza intersects the street with Del Parque street, in Santurce.

According to the complaints, both the women and the minor entered the Double Tree Hotel in Santurce, where agents Eric González and Miguel Alemañy appeared, interviewing the manager of the inn, who confirmed that both women, from the state of Florida, were accommodated at the hotel and allegedly already been involved in several incidents.

During the intervention, the officers realized that the seven-year-old boy, who is supposed to have autism, had a blow to the head with a piece as a result of an alleged fall that he suffered three days ago in the area. hotel pool. According to the manager, after the staff of the minor’s auxiliary hospital, the mother, identified as Lora Gogolistyn, refused to take him for medical care and was under the influence of intoxicating drinks. He also reported that the minor was about to drown in the pool and the mother and aunt, who were present, did not know about the situation and other guests helped the minor.

According to the officers, during the police intervention, the boy was accompanied by his aunt, Nadia Gogolistyn, who was also intoxicated. Following the complaint, the protection of the minor was assumed under the authority of Law 246 for the welfare of minors in Puerto Rico.

The men in uniform also informed the Family Department staff and continued to take the child and his mother to the Gualberto Rabell Diagnosis and Treatment Center (CDT Hoare) in Santurce, where he was evaluated by the doctor on duty who treated the blow to the head and established that his condition is stable.

The case was investigated by Agent Eric González, on Calle Loíza, who sent it to Agent Aidaliz Plaza Acevedo, of the Division of Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse in the San Juan area, along with Family Department technician Eduardo Arce.

On this day, interviews will be conducted and, if the elements are found, a prosecutor will be consulted for possible charges of neglect and / or abuse of children.
