In a universe, Marvel Eternals appeared last November. In another universe, it will be out next week. In our universe, it is currently scheduled for this November. And if you are annoyed and frustrated by all this, imagine what it is like to be part of it.
Of course, the delay Eternals (and apparently ever another film imaginable) is not anyone’s fault. The spread of covid-19 is to blame and eventually all these movies will come out. But for actress Salma Hayek, whose new film Happiness came out this week, the journey to the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins long before.
“Oh God, This one’it’s weird, ”Hayek told io9 when asked about waiting for the movie. “You know, I was one of the first people they threw … They threw me months before announcing it. And you I can’t tell anyone. You have to wait. You’re horrified to talk if it leaks all the others have leaked. I didn’t leak! I was the secret! ”
Hayek found it difficult to keep a secret because he felt that her role as leader of the Eternal Ajak was a milestone.
“It was so hard,” she said. “Just be in a Marvel movie this is very diverse and be 54 because you played a superhero. I’m a 54-year-old Mexican, playing a superhero and an eternal. Then he finally announces it. We do it. Now, I can’t wait …then comes the Crown. I have to wait another year. You [usually] you have to wait for it to make all its special effects, it takes a long time [that], but now they are two years old. He tested my patience. But what will you do? ”

Hayek also had nothing but great things to say about Chloe Zhao, the director Eternals who was barely nominated for a Golden Globe (and will probably be nominated for an Oscar) for her film Nomadland.
“[Chloé] it’s extraordinary. It’s the real thing, “Hayek said. “Very little green screen, real locations. The way it works with the camera will make you feel and look different from anything you’ve ever seen in the Marvel Universe. Without losing DNA. But, God, she was another delicious creature that I was so lucky to meet in my life. I love her and I think we will work again. We to work very well together. ”
This means Eternals 2? Nomadland 2? We do not know. May be! But in the meantime, Hayek is in another sci-fi movie this week: Happiness, co-starring Owen Wilson. It will be on Amazon on Friday. Eternals is currently scheduled to be released on November 5th.
